My story

Made in love.

for Harper, my family, and those that want help or to help but don't know how.

If you're here because you've lost a child, I am so sorry. You are not alone.

Why a hummingbird

A hummingbird weighs less than a nickel. Its heart can beat more than 1,200 times a minute. Its wings move so fast they hum. Some fly about 500 miles across the Gulf of Mexico without stopping once.

On paper, none of it should work. Something that small should not be that strong. It should not cross open water with nowhere to rest. It should not hover in one place or fly backward. A hummingbird does all of it anyway.

That is Harper to me.

In the middle of cancer treatment, at her prom, she took off her wig in front of everyone. She showed the world that strength doesn't always look big. Sometimes it looks like a girl at her prom, choosing to be brave.

It is my story too. Losing my daughter is the heaviest thing I have ever carried. Some days it still feels impossible. But every day I look for one small, good thing to hold on to. That is how I keep going as a grieving mom: one wingbeat at a time.

The hummingbird in my logo carries roses, daisies and baby's breath in its wings. Each of my daughters loves one of these flowers. They are there for my girls, for the strength they carry too.

It flies through a soft sunset. Harper and I always loved sunsets. They remind me that the end of a day is not the end of the light.

When you see a hummingbird, I hope you think of her. I hope you remember that small things can carry great strength. So can you.

Healing is possible, one wingbeat at a time.

Real tears. Real love.

Harper

My daughter Harper passed away on October 31, 2025. Her number on the volleyball and basketball court was 55. That's why every price in my shop ends in .55.

In the middle of cancer treatment, at her prom, Harper took her wig off in front of everyone. The video of that moment has been seen more than a million times on TikTok.

After losing her

I looked for something that didn't rush me, fix me or tell me how to feel. I read everything I could find about grief.

I'm a licensed teacher and I have always had a passion for teaching others, so becoming a certified grief educator felt natural. I started The Ugly Cry Club, a place where nobody has to hold it together. The workbooks grew out of those conversations.

I'm a mom who has been there, walking alongside you.

This is my passion. Helping other grieving families gives my love for Harper somewhere to go. Every time I sit with a mom in her hardest moment, I find a little more healing too.
